This cup was crafted using the traditional Korean woodturning technique called Namwon, perfect for drinks such as makgeolli, as well as other beverages. Namwon is a region in Korea where lacquerware tradition has developed over time, rooted in the historical context of Silsangsa Temple. Based on these traditional lacquer techniques, this piece applies inherited craftsmanship to a contemporary form, combining functionality with sculptural presence.
